#Khadi - The hand woven fabric made from natural fibers

In 1918, Mahatma Gandhi started his movement for Khadi as relief programme for the poor mass living in Indian villages. Spinning and weaving were elevated to an ideology for self-reliance and selfgovernment. Khadi is hand woven fabric made from natural fibers. First hand was spun from a 'Charkha' and then the weaving was done by hand to make a perfect cloth. Khadi is generally understood to be made from Cotton fiber but it can be from 'Silk' and 'Wool' also. Cotton, as you have asked is a fiber. This khadi cotton weave is in Manipuri design. The combination is very eye-catching. It has Pink and blue coloured ganga jamuna border.Anchal have some jamdani flower design. I teamed up with matching blouse and minimum jewellery. This is purchased from #Srijaboutiqueandhandicrafts.
